GENERAL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The system Siemens VDO is an instrument designed to evaluate in a semi-automatic way parameters of a vehicle necessary for the determination of the speed and distance traveled. Its use by authorized personnel of the workshop, can be made for the first calibration and for periodic calibration of the vehicles.
Definition of K = costant of control instrument: numerical characteristic that expresses the value of
the input signal required to obtain the indicating and the recording of the distance traveled of 1 km;
this constant must be expressed in rev per kilometer (k = ... rev / km) or impulses per kilometer (K = ...
imp / km).
Definition of W = characteristic coefficient of the vehicle: numerical characteristic that expresses the value of
the output signal emitted by the transmitter, when the vehicle travels a distance of one kilometer. the coefficient
characteristic is expressed in rev per kilometer (w = ... rev / km) or impulses per kilometer (w = ...
imp / km).
Definition of L = effective circumference of wheel tires: average distances traveled by
each wheels moving the vehicle (driving wheels) during one complete rotation. the
measurement of these distances is expressed with L = ... mm.

transport vehicle, the speed of the vehicle under test corresponding to 50 Km / h + / - 5, that is to speed
